Welcome back from Thanksgiving! Hopefully those of you that celebrate it had a great time and some relaxing time off! Tasty Lies is back in the groove with today’s meal. Sometimes we complain about serving size, and maybe someone finally listened. Because Smart Ones now has a new series of bagged meals that are 30% LARGER! STAND BACK! I hope they’re good because it LOOKS good and SOUNDS good. So we shall see. CoWorker Marissa, TAKE IT AWAY!
It’s just a nice, comforting, plate of pasta. I like it. A lot. And it actually does look like a pretty good-sized meal! There even looks to be a pretty awesome amount of cheese on top of this. And a good number of meat balls! HUZZAH!
Well it looks like it beats the heck out of a canned pasta meal, and most of the frozen pasta meals we have on here. There’s not a ton of sauce and the sauce looks thicker than what we’re used to. I see the cheese, which I love, and there’s a good amount of meatballs. I’m digging this meal! What did Marissa think?
I saw these new “dinner size” meals and thought they might be a good addition. Sometimes it’s really nice to have something super easy at home when the temptation is just to order food. I tried the Ziti because how can they mess up pasta, right? They didn’t. This meal is DELICIOUS. The meatballs are cooked well, seasoned well, and of a non-scary variety of meat. The cheese stays nice and melty and doesn’t burn to the bag or become an inedible mess. Everything about this is good. Almost perfect. Except…for me, there’s no way this is a whole dinner. Add a big glass of milk and a piece of garlic bread, and now you’re talking.
