Today’s Tasty Lie is something I picked up because, well…They were out of what I wanted. I WANTED Tuna Noodle Gratin, because it’s so damn good. What I ended up with was something that more or less looks like the same thing with turkey instead of tuna. How did it work?
This looks like a pretty decent meal. It’s just meat, noodles, sauce, with some celery thrown on it. Simple enough. It looks very similar, like I said, to Smart Ones Tuna Noodles Gratin. So I’m mildly hopeful this could be good. What’s it look like?
It looks a lot more filling than the Tuna Noodle Gratin. While that was a good meal, as evidenced in the picture it’s a LOT of sauce. This one looks like a lot more than tons of sauce. I like the bread crumbs on top, it’s a nice touch as far as texture goes.
Sadly this is a very bland meal. The turkey was fairly tasteless and everything else just blended into it save for the seasoned bread crumbs on top. It’s unfortunate cause this could have been a lot better. It’s a bummer.
