Walkabout!
So the Walk to End Alzheimer’s was yesterday and after setting myself with an initial goal of $200, I’m happy to say I raised $316 from various very awesome and very charitable friends and family members. So thank you to everyone who pitched in some cash for a worthwhile cause.
The weather was kind of a jerk, but not too bad. It rained a little the first half, but was just windy the second half. We walked along Madison’s Lake Monona, as you can see here.

Regardless of the weather, this was a great walk. Three and a half miles in a little under an hour. Not a bad pace for just strolling along. I also got to go hike a bit on Saturday to a new place called Cherokee Marsh outside of town a bit. It was super cool. I took this rad panorama shot with my iPhone. Click to make it GIANT.

I was able to find this awesome place JUST outside of town. It’s amazing. I want to go back and explore more of their trails. All in good time. While the weather Sunday was unfortunate, the weather Saturday was pretty great. It was nice to get out in the world. Here’s a couple more from while I was out there…

Looks awesome, right? This was my good time on Saturday! I loved it. Stay away winter!
That’s about all for now, but I have to say; I’m pretty proud of myself for keeping up with this recently.
